Detoxification: Necessity of Human Body

Abstract

Detox drinks are fast gaining recognition in the fitness world because it prevents our body from various major health problems. Detox drinks offer a major boost to our metabolism. It also facilitates better liver functions and play a huge role in digestion. Lemon and mint drink improves the flow of bile through stomach which speed up the digestion process. Drink made from few slices of cucumber in drinking water has diuretics properties, which helps in urination which helps purge the body toxins and avoid water retention. Ginger is very effective against inflammation. So all these drinks help to flush out the toxins from our body and keep our body fresh and energetic

Introduction

Now a days detoxified body is new trend in fitness world. The human body has many natural pathways to allow detoxification through liver, sweat, urine, faeces etc. But use of preservatives and pesticides and exposure to pollutants have increased the consumption of toxins. These toxins are stored in tissues and cells of our bodies and produce negative impact on metabolic, reproductive and mental health effects. So detox drinks prevent our body from toxic overload and other major health problems. These detox drinks helps us to reduce weight and inflammation, improve our digestion and liver functions , boost energy and keep our body always refresh and fit

Why We Need Detoxification
Detoxification process protects the function of the main organs such as liver, kidney and the intestinal tract.
Liver
Filters toxic substances through the blood and excreted in the urine or stool.
Kidneys
Provide a route for toxic excretion via the urine.
Intestine
Eliminates harmful microorganisms and prevents the leakage of toxic material from the intestine into circulation.
Turmeric
Turmeric (curcumin) is a bright yellow ancient spice used as a medicine. Turmeric and curuminoids has a strong antioxidant activity. Turmeric enhances cellular resistance to oxidative damage and also increases natural antioxidant glutathione levels which helps in liver detoxification. Turmeric contains lipoprotein which has anti bacterial and anti viral properties. Anti inflammatory properties of turmeric heal arthritic pain and mild inflammation. Drinking turmeric water daily may help your skin more healthy, radiant and young. Turmeric water reduces symptoms of bloating. It maintains the healthy metabolism which helps in reducing weight loss.
Garlic
Garlic extract may increase the glutathione level and glutathione related enzymes which detoxify the liver. Garlic extract may help to protect the body from toxic effects of heavy metals such as lead, mercury and aluminium. Garlic helps to suppress cell proliferation and enhances antioxidants properties. Consumption of garlic and water helps in eliminating harmful toxins from the body and prevents diseases like diabetes, depression and different types of cancers. It helps in lowering the bad cholesterol in the body. Consuming garlic regularly helps to improve eye health.
Lemon
Lemon boosts immune system. Lemons are high in vitamins C, which increases the immune system of the body. It contains potassium, which stimulates brain and nerve function and also helps in controlling blood pressure. Acidic nature of lemon juice does not create any acidity, so in that way it also helps in balancing the pH of human body. Lemons are high in pectin fibre, which suppress the hunger cravings. Lemon increases the rate of urination in the body, which removes all the toxins from the body.
Guava Leaf Tea
Guava leaf tea may help in maintaining the blood sugar level and improve symptoms in patients who are suffering from Type 2 diabetes. Guava leaf tea helps in absorption of glucose after a meal. Leaf extract may have the potential to treat the patients who are suffering from diarrhoea. Guava leaf tea helps in reduction of LDL or bad cholesterol and triglycerides without any adverse effects on good cholesterol. Guava leaves are beneficial in case of food poisoning as well as in soothing, vomiting and nausea. Guava leaf tea is effective in treating bronchitis by opening the lungs, loosening mucus and soothing coughs. Fresh guava leaves extract helps in reliving tooth ache, healing gum and mouth sores. Guava leaf tea helps in improving skin and eliminates acne and black spots from the skin.
Cinnamon Tea
Cinnamon is one of the oldest spices, which are used in many culinary items. Cinnamon is associated with a number of health benefits. The volatile oil extracted is helpful in curing common cold and diarrhoea. Cinnamon has loaded with antioxidants properties. Regular drinking of cinnamon tea could be beneficial for releasing the oxidative stress and also helpful in relaxation of stomach upset. Jio cinnamon tea also regulates blood sugar level and reduces LDL cholesterol levels. Cinnamon has been effective in treatment of gastric ulcer. It also helps in reducing arthritis pain. Cinnamon tea helps in the treatment of various neurodegenerative diseases including: Alzheimer disease, Brain tumour, Parkinson's disease and Meningitis. Cinnamon tea used as a home remedy to cure cold, nausea and diarrhoea. Regular drinking of cinnamon tea helps to increase the energy level and improve blood circulation and reduce fasting blood glucose levels. It has anti- inflammatory properties which reduce heart attack, strokes, atherosclerosis and coronary diseases. Cinnamon tea is also effective in providing relief from menstrual cramps and discomfort.
Ginger Tea
Ginger ( zingiberaceae) adds flavour to many types of cuisine . Ginger tea help in motion sickness like dizziness, vomiting and cold sweat. Gingerols which is a volatile oil and phenolic compound, helps in relieving nausea caused by pregnancy. Consumption of ginger tea helps in removing blood clots, lowering blood pressure, relieving heart burns and improving blood circulation. Drinking hot ginger tea increases feeling of fullness and reduces hunger, which may be very effective in managing obesity. Ginger tea also helps to alleviate headache, menstrual cramps, sore throat and various types of pain.
Cucumber
Cucumber is just about 15 calories per cup and about 95 per cent water. It contains high levels of lignans, vitamin K, vitamin B and other types of trace minerals with high content of water naturally. Due to high water content, cucumbers replenish the body and quench thirst. Cucumber contains rutin and ascorbic acid oxidase, which act as a free radical scavengers and helps to protect against skin damage. Cucumber counteracts acidic pH specifically in the kidney, which helps in keeping blood pH within normal levels.
Chamomile Tea
Chamomile is a herbal tea having major polyphenols constituents and tea catechins. Chamomile tea has stress relieving and nerve relaxants properties and has been used to remove inflammation and pain in rheumatic disease. Drink made from chamomile flower such as chamomile lemonade could be a refreshing drink in summer. Consuming chamomile tea for a month could reduce menstrual cramps, helps in lowering blood sugar and also help people in relaxation and fall asleep.
Birch
Birch has diuretics properties that naturally help in flushing out harmful toxins and excess water from the body. Birch contains Betulin which helps in lowering cholesterol level. Birch also helps in prevention of viral infections due to rich content of tannins, vitamins and flavonoids.
Conclusion
As the name suggests, detoxify aims to help the body rid itself of toxins. The human body has many natural pathways to allow detoxification through liver, sweat, urine, faeces and more. Some fruits, vegetables and special tea help to eliminate the toxic substances through the body through urine or stool. These clean from within the body and there is remarkable boost in your energy level. These detox drinks help to restore hydration, which will keep one going through a long exhausted day
