Development of Garments Using Princess Seam

Abstract
The present study was undertaken to design female garments like kurtis, blouses, jackets, one piece dress with princess seam, on the basis of comfort, fit, suitability, aesthetic appeal, acceptability and marketability. In the study, 25 designs were developed by corel draw. Five best garments were developed which were evaluated by 5 point scale. It was found that garments were preferred by consumers with respect to suitability, comfort, good fit, aesthetic appeal, acceptability and marketability. The aim of the study was to apply Princess seam in various garments to get good fit, comfort and suitability and to create new range of good fitted suitable women garments for manufacturers to produce.
