Abstract
Make in India campaign was launched in September 2014 with the aim to boost domestic manufacturing and create employment opportunities. The initiative has been successful in attracting both domestic and foreign investors to invest in various sectors of the Indian economy. The sports industry is one such sector that has great potential for growth, and the Make in India campaign can play a significant role in its development.
The sports industry in India has been growing rapidly over the years, and with the government's emphasis on promoting sports, there is a need for high-quality sports equipment and infrastructure. This presents an opportunity for both domestic and foreign manufacturers to invest in the Indian sports industry and tap into this growing market.
Make in India can help in the development of sports infrastructure, such as stadiums, training centers, and other sports facilities. It can also encourage the manufacturing of high-quality sports equipment, which will not only meet the needs of Indian athletes but also be exported to other countries. This will help India to become a hub for sports manufacturing and, in turn, create employment opportunities for the youth.
Moreover, the Make in India campaign can also help in the development of sports technology and innovation. India has a large pool of talented and skilled professionals, and the campaign can encourage research and development in sports technology, which can help Indian athletes to perform better at international events.
The growth of the sports industry in India, and challenges and employment opportunities in the sports industry for the youth has been explored in this study.

Challenges in Implementing Make in India in Sports Industry
The implementation of the Make in India campaign in the sports industry can face several challenges as follows:
1) Infrastructure
The sports industry in India lacks adequate infrastructure for manufacturing of sports goods. The lack of modern factories, skilled labor, and high-tech machinery makes it difficult for companies to manufacture goods at large scale.

Many small and medium-sized companies in the sports industry struggle to access finance to expand their operations. This limits their ability to invest in modern machinery and technology, which hampers their ability to manufacture high-quality goods at large scale.
Conclusion
The growing focus of the sports industry on manufacturing in India is a positive development for the Make in India initiative. The government's supportive policies, the growing demand for sports goods, cost advantages, and improving quality standard shave created a conducive environment for companies to manufacture in India. However, the sports industry in India still faces several
Challenges, such as the lack of infrastructure fragmented supply chains, and limited access to finance. By addressing these challenges, the sports industry can contribute significantly to the growth of the Make in India initiative and help create a more robust and diverse manufacturing sector in the country. While there are challenges in the sports industry such as lack of professional training, limited career growth, inadequate infrastructure, and inconsistent funding, there are also significant opportunities that can be leveraged to create more employment opportunities for the youth. The industry needs to address these challenges and create a more conducive environment for the growth of the sports industry and the opportunities it offers for the youth.
